IWR Lorcana League — Official Rules & Policies

All participants are expected to read and follow the Official Lorcana TCG Core Constructed Rule Set in addition to the league-specific rules below.
By registering and participating, players agree to comply with all rules, policies, and sportsmanship expectations established by the IWR Team.

Sportsmanship & Conduct

Players must compete honestly and ethically at all times
Cheating, exploiting rules, falsifying results, or attempting to gain unfair advantages is prohibited
No harassment, toxicity, bullying, discrimination, or aggressive behavior
Respectful communication toward opponents and staff is required
Violations may result in warnings, match forfeits, or removal from the league

Match Format

Matches are Best of 3
(Playoffs are best of 5)
Matches and individual games may not end in a draw or ID
First player to 2 wins wins the match
There is no time limit for matches
All games must produce a winner
Games can not end in ties

Deck Construction & Usage

Players bring one deck to each match
Players may use only two colors for the entire match
Deck list and colors cannot change mid-match
No sideboards or side decks
No proxy or substitute cards
Players may change decks and/or colors between different weeks

Play / Draw Order

Home team chooses play or draw for Round 1
(Playoffs higher seed is hom)
Loser of Round 1 chooses play/draw for Round 2
Loser of Round 2 chooses play/draw for Round 3
If needed, loser of Round 3 chooses play/draw for Round 4
If needed, loser of Round 4 chooses play/draw for Round 5

Scheduling & Communication

Players must contact their opponent before the week begins
Matches must be completed within the assigned week
Any reschedule beyond the week requires IWR approval
If a match is rescheduled across a set/rotation change, players must use the ruleset and rotation from the original scheduled week

Match Locations & Platform

Matches may be played in person or via webcam
Matches must be played with physical cards
No online web clients or simulators (ex: Lorcanito)
Pixelborn may be used only for lore and ink tracking

Recording Matches

Either player may record the match
Recordings may be used for verification if disputes arise
